About Summit Mechanical

Mike Janssen started Summit Mechanical out of his garage in 2008 with a pipe wrench, a work van, and a simple idea: treat every customer the way you'd want to be treated.

Growing up on a farm outside Perham, Mike learned early that when something breaks, you fix it right the first time. After earning his master plumber license and working for a large mechanical contractor in Fargo, he came back home to serve the community he grew up in.

What started as a one-man plumbing operation has grown into a full-service mechanical company with a team of 6 technicians. We added heating in 2012 and cooling in 2015 because our customers kept asking — and we hate saying no.

Today, Summit Mechanical serves Perham and communities across Otter Tail, Wadena, and Becker counties. We're still small enough that Mike personally oversees every major job, and big enough to handle anything from a leaky faucet to a complete HVAC system install.
